STORY BEHIND THE BRAND
SAHAA is driven by a team of highly motivated professionals with an experience of over 15 years in the field of design. The platter of beautiful things from SAHAA comes from architects/ designers and this has reinforced further refinement of products created by them.
In our journey as designers, we have been lucky to have come across people with extremely diverse sensibilties, weaving interesting stories; simple people who engage in profound work and also people who prove work is indeed worship. All of them and many more belong to our tribe, the tribe that is driven by passion to create masterpieces and also the one that recognises and appreciates THAT passion.
BRAND IDEOLOGY
At SAHAA, we believe following the basic principles of design can make a lot of difference to the final product. We have observed in these times that the urge to be different has defeated the urge to make truly beautiful products. At SAHAA, we take basics of design very seriously! The end product in your hands is the result of a lot of refined design processes and master craftsmanship.
Details are our strengths and to a small extent our weakness too, considering the amount of time we invest to achieve them! These are seen starting from our products and ending with the packing material and bags that were thoroughly researched for their green quotient as well!
Our Team
Lakshmi Narasimhan
On a quiet Sunday morning in August 2018, I took the first step toward bringing a lifelong passion to life—textiles. From a young age, I was captivated by fabrics. As a dancer, I was enchanted by the movement of Kanchipuram silks, the comfort of handwoven cottons, and the meaning behind age-old motifs. That early curiosity quietly shaped my creative journey, eventually finding its way into my work as an architect, where I often wove textiles into spatial design.
Sahaa, meaning the Earth in Sanskrit, is the closest expression of my love for all things rooted, tactile, and timeless. It represents my belief that design and craft are deeply connected to the land, to tradition, and to the hands that bring them to life.
Together with my friend and partner, S. K. Ravindra, I ventured into the world of fashion and handcraft—working alongside artisans who are the heart of our story. Over the past six years, this journey has been one of learning, collaboration, and deep gratitude for the craft communities that inspire us every day.
At Sahaa – The Crafters, we celebrate earthy elegance, slow fashion, and thoughtful design. Every piece we create is a tribute to heritage, craftsmanship, and the soulful beauty of handmade textiles.
I am a dancer, an architect, a curious learner, and an entrepreneur—and through Sahaa, I hope to share the warmth of tradition and the joy of mindful living with you.
S.K. Ravindra
A passionate people-person and a natural problem solver, S. K. Ravindra is the driving force behind the operations at Sahaa. Fondly known as Ravi, he is a builder, a skilled negotiator, and a serial entrepreneur with an exceptional eye for detail.
An engineer by qualification and a designer-builder by profession, Ravi brings a unique blend of technical insight and creative thinking to every venture he’s part of. At Sahaa, he oversees finance and vendor management, ensuring that our ideas are supported by strong systems and sustainable practices.
His sharp business acumen and unwavering dedication have helped Sahaa navigate challenges and grow steadily over the years. Ravi’s steady leadership and behind-the-scenes strength make him not just a co-founder, but the backbone of everything we do.
His guidance, clarity, and commitment continue to be invaluable to Sahaa’s journey and spirit.
